The picture to the left is a political cartoon in regards to Anne Boleyn. I know this because the caption at the bottom reads, "Anne Boleyn Topless-Read all about it!" The man seems to be handing out some sort of flyers. Almost like how people do so on the streets of New York. He seems to be on solid ground, because he and the stand next to him are staying in a state of rest. I believe that the point of this cartoon, is to show some irony in the tragic but historic event of Anne's execution. Or rather beheadment. Him yelling "topless" refers to her not having the top part of her body. Headless=topless. In today's society, we exploit celebrities relationships online and in magazines with headlines like, "world's cutest couple cuts it close, or Brangelina adopting spree," to grab people's attention. Here the tabloid reads, "STAR ROYAL SPLIT!." Queen Anne and King Henry were basically broken up by the time she was accused of treason, so this short and catchy title makes for a perfect headline.
